An itemized list of transaction requests received on the given transaction activity date. Includes authorizations, captures, refunds, card verifications, bank transfer sales, and bank account validations. Use this report to reconcile received transactions against your internal record of submitted transactions.

ACCEPTOR_IDA unique, 36 character identifier created by Tesouro and assigned to the entity providing the goods or services to the customer, such as a Merchant, a Submerchant of a Payment Facilitator, a Seller within a Marketplace, or a Biller of a Consumer Bill Payment Service Provider (CBPS). Historically, processors have called this identifier the Merchant ID (or MID), Outlet ID, or Customer number.
ACCEPTOR_NAMEA human readable description used to uniquely label the Acceptor. It is assigned during onboarding of the Acceptor and mapped to the Acceptor ID. Maximum of 255 characters. Other processors may refer to this as a Billing descriptor.
ACCEPTOR_REFERENCEA unique identifier created and managed by the entity holding the direct relationship with the Acceptor, and assigned to the Acceptor with a one-to-one mapping to Tesouro’s Acceptor ID. Other processors may refer to this as Location ID, Store ID, Club ID, etc.
ACCOUNT_NUMBER_ENDING_INThe last few numbers of the bank account used as a visual reference to the full account number.
ACCOUNT_NUMBER_FIRST_SIXThe leading digits of the cardholder’s payment card.
ACCOUNT_NUMBER_LAST_FOURThe last four digits of the cardholder’s payment card.
ACCOUNT_OWNER_NAMEThe name of the bank account owner, as provided by the NACHA report. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers.
ACCOUNT_OWNER_TYPEThe type of the bank account owner, as provided by the NACHA report. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers.
ACCOUNT_TYPEThe type of the bank account, e.g., Checking or Savings. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers.
ACQUIRER_REFERENCE_NUMBERThe Acquirer Reference Number (ARN), is a unique 23 digit number created by Tesouro, and assigned to a transaction and provided to the acquiring and issuing banks for their purpose of being able to trace the transaction through the full process until it is funded to the bank.
ACQUIRER_TOKENThe acquirer token on file for the payment method, if the payment method has been used before and the transactor is subscribed to Tesouro’s tokenization services. Otherwise, this field’s value will be null.
ADVICEWhen a transaction request is declined, Tesouro will provide advice on what can be done to remedy, and/or prevent this type of response from occurring in the future.
APPROVED_AMOUNTThe transaction amount approved for processing.
AVS_RESPONSEThe Address Verification Service (AVS) result provided by the payment brand that verifies the entered address information matches the address information on file with the issuing bank.
BILLING_DESCRIPTORThe billing descriptor name that appears on the customer’s statement.
BUSINESS_APPLICATION_IDThe business application identifier (BAI) is a value provided by Visa to identify the type of transfer that is being performed. Applicable only to acceptors participating in Visa’s Consumer Bill Payment Service program.
CAPTURE_ON_APPROVALIndicates that the authorization will be automatically captured if approved.
CARDHOLDER_FIRST_NAMEThe first name of the individual associated with this payment method’s billing address.
CARDHOLDER_LAST_NAMEThe last name of the individual associated with this payment method’s billing address.
CARD_EXPIRATIONThe two-digit month and four-digit year of the card’s expiration date. e.g., MMYYYY
CASHBACK_AMOUNTThe amount of cash back requested by the cardholder.
CONSUMER_TYPEThe type of account associated with the cardholder’s card, e.g., Consumer, Commercial, Government, etc., which has an impact on the interchange qualification.
CONVENIENCE_FEES_AMOUNTTotal amount of convenience fees charged to the customer.
CONVEYED_STATUSIdentifies those transactions that are or will be conveyed to another acquirer
CUSTOMER_REFERENCEA unique identifier created by the acceptor or organization and assigned to the customer who placed the order.
CUSTOMER_STATEMENT_MEMOInformation that appears on the bank account owner’s bank statement and describes the transaction. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers.
DECLINE_TYPEThe type of decline, as determined by Tesouro, either soft decline or hard decline.
DISCOUNT_AMOUNTThe total discount amount applied to the transaction.
DUTY_AMOUNTTotal charges for any import or export duties included in the order.
ENTRY_MODEThe means by which the payment details are captured, e.g., Card swipe, contactless “tap”, chip entry, keyed, etc.
FUNDING_CURRENCYThe funding (aka, settlement) currency of the transaction, in ISO 4217 alpha currency code format.
FUNDING_GROSS_AMOUNTThe funding amount of the transaction before any applicable fees are deducted.
FUNDING_NET_AMOUNTThe funding amount of the transaction after deducting any applicable fees.
FUNDS_RELEASE_DATEThe date the funded transaction amount is released.
FUNDS_TRANSFER_DESCRIPTORA value created by Tesouro and sent with the funds transfer to the recipient’s bank for display on the bank statement. It includes information on who sent the money and the purpose of the payment. The recipient can use this value to help with bank and transaction reconciliation.
FUNDS_TRANSFER_IDA unique identifier created by Tesouro and assigned to the transfer of money to a bank account for this dispute, that identifies a cohort of funded transactions making up the transfer.
GRATUITY_AMOUNTThe amount of gratuity added to the transaction.
INTERCHANGE_FEES_AMOUNTThe amount of interchange fees applicable to the transaction. Interchange fees are set by the card networks, and paid to the bank that issued the card used for the transaction.
ISSUING_BANK_COUNTRYThe ISO 3166-1 three-letter country code associated with the issuing bank.
ISSUING_BANK_NAMEThe name of the bank that issued the card
IS_FUNDEDIndicates if the funding amount has been released, if applicable. Defined as having a funds transfer ID and funds transfer release date.
IS_PARTNER_FEE_ADJUSTEDIndicates if the partner fee was adjusted at the transaction level to override a set value configured within the acceptor profile.
LINE_ITEM_DETAILSA list of items including description, commodity code, product code, product SKU, unit price and quantity, total line item amount, and tax and discount amounts applicable to the transaction.
LOCAL_TAXThe total amount of local tax for this payment transaction request. Local tax is imposed by municipal, city, or regional governments and may include sales tax, service tax, or other location-based levies applicable to the transaction.
MERCHANT_CATEGORYUnique ISO four digit values used to classify merchants and their transactions into specific categories based on the type of business, trade or services supplied.
NAME_VERIFICATIONThe result of the name verification service, which checks if the cardholder name submitted with the transaction matches what is on record with the issuer.
NATIONAL_TAXThe total amount of national tax for this payment transaction request. National tax is a government-imposed tax at the federal or country level, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), or federal sales tax.
NETWORK_APPROVAL_CODEA six-digit code returned from the network on APPROVED authorizations, and displayed on the customer’s receipt. If the authorization declined, this field will be blank.
NETWORK_AVS_RESPONSEThe response code sent from the network detailing the address verification service (AVS) result.
NETWORK_FEES_AMOUNTTotal amount of network fees.
NETWORK_RESPONSE_CODEA response code provided by the card network indicating whether the transaction was approved or declined.
NETWORK_RESPONSE_MESSAGEA human readable description of the authorization response code. e.g., Insufficient funds.
ORDER_REFERENCEA unique identifier created by the acceptor and assigned to the order placed by the customer.
ORGANIZATION_IDA unique 36 character identifier created and used by Tesouro, and assigned to the organization holding the relationship with Tesouro.
PARTNER_FEES_AMOUNTThe amount of the partner fees.
PAYMENT_BRANDThe payment brand used, e.g., Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, etc.
PAYMENT_CHANNELThe card-present or card-not-present channel from which the customer makes a payment, e.g., In-store using a physical card terminal, online, or over the phone or through mail order.
PAYMENT_FUNDING_SOURCEThe source of the customer’s funds , e.g., credit, debit, pre-paid, cash.
PAYMENT_IDA unique 36 character identifier created by Tesouro and assigned to a group of transactions in the same payment request cohort. e.g., An authorization request, incremental authorization request, and the final capture would have the same paymentID.
PAYMENT_METHOD_TYPEThe type of payment method used by the customer to submit the transaction, e.g., Card, Bank transfer, etc.
PAYMENT_PRODUCTThe product name according to the payment brand (e.g. World Elite Mastercard card), if applicable.
PROCESSING_NETWORKThe payment network that the transaction was processed on, which may be unaffiliated with the card brand.
PROCESSOR_FEES_AMOUNTThe amount of processor fees applicable to this transaction. Processor fees are set by and paid to Tesouro.
PROCESSOR_RESPONSE_CODEA response code provided Tesouro indicating whether the transaction was approved or declined.
PROCESSOR_RESPONSE_MESSAGEA human readable description of the response code.
RESPONSE_TYPEThe type of response, e.g., APPROVAL, SOFT_DECLINE, HARD_DECLINE, REJECT
ROUTING_NUMBERA unique nine-digit number that identifies a bank and is used for electronic transactions. It’s also known as an ABA routing number, or routing transit number (RTN).
SECURITY_CODE_NETWORK_RESPONSEThe response code sent from the network detailing the card security code verification results.
SECURITY_CODE_NORMALIZED_RESPONSEThe card security code verification result, normalized and described by Tesouro.
SERVICE_FEES_AMOUNTTotal amount of service fees charged to the customer.
SHIPPING_AMOUNTThe amount charged for shipping the goods.
SHIP_FROM_ADDRESS_01The address from where the line item was sent.
SHIP_FROM_ADDRESS_02The address from where the line item was sent.
SHIP_FROM_ADDRESS_03The address from where the line item was sent.
SHIP_FROM_CITYThe city from where the line item was sent.
SHIP_FROM_COUNTRYThe country from where the line item was sent.

SHIP_TO_ADDRESS_01The street address for where the purchased goods are to be sent.

SHIP_TO_POSTAL_CODEThe postal code for where the purchased goods are to be sent.
SHIP_TO_STATE_OR_PROVINCEThe state for where the purchased goods are to be sent.
SUBTOTAL_AMOUNTThe sum of all item costs in the transaction before applying any additional charges such as taxes, or fees
SURCHARGE_AMOUNTThe amount of surcharges charged to the customer.
TAX_IDENTIFICATION_NUMBERA unique identifier created by the national government and assigned to acceptor at the time this transaction was submitted.
TOTAL_TAXThe total amount of all taxes for this payment transaction request. Must be present if either local or national tax are present.
TRACE_NUMBERA unique 15-digit number that identifies an Automated Clearing House (ACH) transaction. It’s used by the bank to track the transaction and resolve issues. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers.
TRANSACTION_ACTIVITY_DATEThe date Tesouro recognized the payment request based upon the acceptor cutoff. Formatted as YYY-MM-DD
TRANSACTION_AMOUNTThe amount of the transaction request sent to Tesouro.
TRANSACTION_CURRENCYThe currency specified on the transaction request, in ISO 4217 alpha currency code format.
TRANSACTION_IDA unique 36 character identifier assigned by Tesouro for every transaction request received.
TRANSACTION_PROCESSING_DECISIONTesouro’s decision to approve or decline, or accept or reject the transaction request. Note, this is different than the Authorization response returned from the payment network.
TRANSACTION_REFERENCEA unique identifier created by the Presenter (or Acceptor) and assigned to the transaction request passed to Tesouro to manage idempotency.
TRANSACTION_TS_UTCThe date and time that Tesouro received the transaction, in UTC. Formatted as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM::SSZ
TRANSACTION_TYPEThe type of transaction, e.g., Authorization, Capture, Refund, Reversal, Incremental authorization, Authentication.
TRANSFER_EFFECTIVE_DATEThe date that Tesouro requests the funds to be transferred from (or to) the bank account owner’s bank account. Applicable only to ACH bank transfers. Formatted as YYYY-MM-DD
VALIDATION_SCOREA risk score between 0-1000 indicating the likelihood of fraud for a bank account. The lower the score, the more likely the risk of fraud. Applicable to bank account validations only.

Report availability

The report is generated daily by 10:00 AM ET, encrypted, and placed in the outbound directory of an SFTP location dedicated for your use. (This schedule can be configured to later cadences to suit your needs, e.g., a later time in the day, every other day, weekly, monthly, etc.) Reports expire and removed from the SFTP location after 14 calendar days.

  • CSV file, following the RFC 4180 standard
  • File name: transaction_{startdate:YYYYMMDD}-{endDate:YYYYMMDD}_{generationDate:YYYYMMDDThhmmss}.csv
  • Values are separated using commas.
  • Values containing commas are enclosed within double quotes.
  • Values containing double-quotes are escaped by two double quote preceding it.
